“I want to be a strategic partner that provides more than a product,“ she said. “I know, I know, that sounds like a typical sales rep, but I truly want to understand the challenges and pressures the state and local governments and educational institutions face.”
“These organizations are often up against sophisticated cyber threats, but with budgets and resources that don’t always grow at the same pace as those threats,” Cormier said. “My focus is to work alongside them, providing insights that go beyond typical email security and showing them how a platform like Abnormal can deliver a significant shift in their overall security posture.”
Before joining Abnormal Security, Cormier held various account executive roles, including enterprise account executive positions at Wiz and Trend Micro and a regional account executive position at Veritas Technologies.
She also served as a strategic account executive for Hotelbeds Group, a key account manager for Sealane Marketing and a marketing specialist for Harley-Davidson Motor Company.
Moving forward, Cormier said she is looking forward to “diving deep into each organization’s current security stack and workflows to understand where gaps exist, particularly around email security and identity protection.”
“I aim to pinpoint where Abnormal’s behavioral AI and ML-based detection can significantly enhance their defenses,” Cormier explained. “I’ll be working closely with security teams to implement Abnormal’s solution in a way that integrates smoothly with existing systems like Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace while ensuring it scales effectively across departments. This setup process will help these organizations capture key indicators of compromise (IoCs) early and reduce the risk of phishing, spear-phishing and impersonation attacks.”
Long term, she said, “I aim to make Abnormal Security a trusted name in the Florida public sector, known not only for innovation but also for delivering measurable results. I’d like to see our technology embedded as a core part of our clients’ security strategies, helping them protect against evolving threats and build resilience. Another long-term goal is to educate and elevate the entire sector’s understanding of what next-gen email security can do — transforming it from a reactive tool into a proactive defense layer against account takeovers, business email compromise and more.”
Zachary Oxman, director of U.S. SLED for the company, welcomed her aboard.
“We are extremely excited to welcome Lexi to the Abnormal Security SLED team,” he wrote in an email. “She has already made a tremendous impact with our partners, and I look forward to her continued success here.”
Cormier holds a Bachelor of Arts in international business from Rollins College.
