The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services has issued an invitation to negotiate (ITN) for vendors to provide an examination administration system and exam proctoring services.

According to the ITN, “The department’s Division of Agricultural Environmental Services is charged with the development and administration of multiple state license examinations,” including pest control, agricultural pesticide and mosquito control exams.

The agency is currently looking for a vendor to deploy these exams on a computer-based testing system that meets the department’s functional, technical and security requirements in conjunction with in-person testing.

Regarding the latter, the chosen vendor will also be tasked with supplying all necessary IT equipment for service delivery, contractor staff and Internet connectivity for in-person testing.

Lastly, the department is only considering vendor-hosted software as a service and is excluding software developing projects.

In 2023, the agency administered 7,400 exams.

More information about ITN AES 23 24 120 can be found online. The deadline for written questions is 5 p.m. on June 28, and all vendor responses are due at 5 p.m. on July 23.
