The Agency for Health Care Administration has issued a request for information to provide e-discovery services in order to assist with legal discovery needs and public records compliance.

According to the RFI, the agency seeks information on outsourced services to support electronically stored information (ESI), discovery and administration and orchestration of the e-discovery process. The agency expects vendors to establish and operate a system with services to accomplish the following processing for the agency’s e-discovery needs:
  • Identify: locate, inventory and scope potential sources of ESI
  • Preserve: ensure that ESI is protected against inappropriate change or deletion (i.e., legal holds)
  • Collect: gather data for use in the processing and review states of e-discovery
  • Process: prepare data performing processes, such as reduce e-discovery volume (e.g., deduplication), optical character recognition or conversion for review
  • Review: identify items that are responsive to requests and to segregate privileged ones
