Bay County Board of County Commissioners Seeking Control Panel Upgrade

The chosen vendor would install the new control panel, provide all necessary hardware and components to complete the project, and provide startup commissioning and testing on site.

The Bay County Board of County Commissioners has issued a request for proposals (RFP) for vendors to complete the design and installation of a new control panel, based on the Allen-Bradley CompactLogix 5380 PLC to work with existing I/O at the station.

According to RFP No. 24-39, “The new control panel should be designed in alignment with current Bay County design standards. Panel will include new OIT, a new GE Orbit Platform Multiservice-Connect Router for continued radio communications back to the Bay County WTP with provisions for later adding backup cellular communications.”

As for a specific scope of services, the RFP lists the following requirements for vendors:
  • Install the new control panel
  • Provide all necessary hardware and components to complete the project
  • Provide startup commissioning and testing on site

More detailed information about solicitation No. 24-39, including all submission requirements and requests, can be found online. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 10 a.m. May 9. The deadline for responses is 2 p.m. May 29.
