Broward College Seeking Hardware and Software Maintenance

The invitation to bid aims to simplify procurement from various manufacturers and should include markup and markdown percentages for each group.

Broward College has issued an invitation to bid (ITB) for value-added reseller services for hardware and software maintenance, support, licensing and subscriptions.

Current hardware and software manufacturers the college uses include:
  • Microsoft
  • Hewlett Packard Enterprise
  • Adobe
  • VMware
  • EMC
The vendor shall:
  • Honor existing volume or enterprise license agreements
  • Offer maintenance and support for the college’s current licenses
  • Provide technical advice for software publisher interactions
  • Maintain reseller authorization and promptly notify the college of any changes, including impacts or costs. Failure to report may lead to service suspension or cancellation
  • Assist the college with software application decisions through needs analysis, product information and recommendations
The college is also seeking website development that includes:
  • Publisher or manufacturer details
  • Purchase history
  • Notifications about upcoming renewals
  • Contract information
  • Product information/catalog
The department has a contract with SHI International Corp. for hardware and software maintenance and support through January 2025.
