Broward County Recruiting for Cybersecurity Junior Analyst

The position monitors, analyzes and correlates cybersecurity events to help identify and mitigate network cybersecurity threats to the county.

Broward County seeks to hire a cybersecurity junior analyst with four years of applications programming experience.

According to the job posting, the chosen candidate will take on various responsibilities, including configuring, evaluating and managing tools that help prevent cyber attacks from impacting the county’s data and infrastructure.

Other job responsibilities include:
  • Performing risk assessments, audits and third-party security procurement reviews 
  • Assessing security risks and remediating identified cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities 
  • Developing and implementing security policies, standards and procedures to standardize security controls for the county 
  • Researching technology solutions, providing recommendations, leading projects and implementing recommendations to address security controls and requirements 
  • Remaining up to date on regulatory requirements and industry standards such as NIST, OWASP, HIPAA, PCI and CJIS
