Additional duties and responsibilities include:
- Validating laboratory data, preparing analytical reports for release to clients and regulatory agencies, and managing the lab’s Demonstration of Capability Program
- Managing the division’s proficiency testing program and monitoring all lab documentation forms through a laboratory document tracking system
- Updating and maintaining the laboratory’s Quality Assurance Manual, which dictates quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) measures and standards for quality laboratory practices
- Performing all internal QA/QC laboratory audits, plus any other additional audits for the division
- Instructing, consulting, and assisting lab staff with all questions and concerns regarding QA/QC practices and requirements
