Broward County Recruiting for E911 IT Project Manager

This capital-funded position will oversee project management leadership for county E911 projects and be responsible for procuring all necessary hardware, software and services.

Broward County is looking to hire an E911 information technology project manager.

The candidate would join the Communications and Technology Division under its Regional Emergency Services and Communications Department.

The E911 IT project manager will provide leadership in organizing, planning and executing project management responsibilities, primarily for software integration, consulting services and vendor integration projects.

Other job responsibilities include:
  • Developing project plans, directing work efforts daily, identifying resource needs, performing quality and risk reviews and proactively taking mitigative steps to reduce the potential impacts of risks 
  • Managing multiple E911 projects of low to high complexity 
  • Providing vendor management to ensure all vendors are meeting their project and contractual commitments 
  • Participating in project management office meetings and process improvement updates for E911 
  • Tracking key project milestones and adjusting project plans and resources to meet project deliverables 
The position is “funded through the availability of capital funds annually,” according to the job posting.
