The upcoming briefing will feature two state of Florida IT leaders:
- Scott McPherson became CIO for the Florida House of Representatives in 2006. He led the development of the Legislature’s first “app” and served until August 2022. He previously received awards for his work as CIO at the Florida Department of Corrections; before that he led Gov. Jeb Bush's Team Florida 2000, the state's Y2K preparedness effort, which played a crucial role post-9/11.
- Martin Stevens has served as CIO for the Florida Department of Environmental Protection since May 2023. Previously, he served as CIO for the Florida Department of Education’s Division of Early Learning. With seven years in the U.S. Army and a degree in computer science from Middle Tennessee State University, Martin brings extensive experience in both private and public sectors.
