The city of Ormond Beach has issued an invitation to bid (ITB) for qualified vendors to provide Internet services.

According to the ITB, the solicitation aims to establish a failover and redundant network for critical safety, telephony and facilities equipment communications across the city. This network will operate alongside the existing Wide Area Network (WAN) to ensure connectivity during failures or disruptions, while also providing daily Internet service at all sites.

In order to enhance network redundancy and safety, only vendors not currently providing WAN services to the city will have their bids accepted. Bids will only be accepted from a single Internet service provider covering all sites.

The agreement will have an initial term of three years.

More information about ITN No. 2025-11-0-2025/RH can be found online. Solicitations are due by 2 p.m. Nov. 20.
