Corrections Department Recruiting for Senior Database Analyst

The Florida Department of Corrections is seeking a senior database analyst with a minimum of five years of IBM mainframe-based Db2 administration experience.

The Florida Department of Corrections is looking to hire a senior database analyst within its central office.

According to the job posting, the incumbent will focus on implementing and maintaining quality assurance processes to improve development efforts.

Additional responsibilities include:
  • Participating in disaster recovery for enterprise data environments 
  • Ensuring the quality, accuracy and integrity of data resources and their information 
  • Developing and maintaining enterprise data models, data dictionaries and data warehouses 
  • Collaborating with programming staff to ensure new data elements meet standards and support innovative technology solutions  
As for minimum requirements, the job posting states prospective candidates must have the following:
  • A minimum of five years of IBM’s mainframe-based Db2 administration experience 
  • A minimum of five years of IBM mainframe-based experience working with TSO, Xpeditor and other related tools 
  • A minimum of five or more years of management information systems or data processing experience  
  • A minimum of five years working with IBM’s mainframe-based CICS environments 
  • A minimum of five years of SQL and T-SQL experience from version 2012 and higher
