The Florida Department of Children and Families, which works with local communities to protect at-risk individuals and support self-sufficient families, is looking to hire a systems programmer III.

According to the job posting, the candidate will manage and support various enterprise security tools and processes.

The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience with security frameworks and tools, such as BitLocker, FileVault, DLP and Azure Sentinel, as well as familiarity with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, IRS Pub 1075, NIST 800-53 and ISO 27001.

As for specific on-the-job duties, the posting lists the following:
  • Establish security policies for endpoint security, encryption, DLP and incident responses
  • Use scanning tools to identify and prioritize vulnerabilities, implement remediation strategies and monitor vulnerability management processes
  • Develop procedures for deploying security software updates, managing device encryption and responding to security incidents
  • Collaborate with technical staff on security tools, encryption solutions, DLP and third-party tools

Minimum requirements include at least four years of professional experience in IT networking, cybersecurity or related technical roles, involving customer support, incident response and security functions.

The hiring salary for the role is between $63,000 and $79,000 and the recruitment deadline is May 22.
