Department of Commerce Recruiting for Network Infrastructure Manager

The role will manage and supervise all network support, telephone, voice and electronic messaging services for the department’s Division of Information Technology Services.

The Florida Department of Commerce (FloridaCommerce) is looking to hire a network infrastructure manager.

According to the job posting, the position will report to the department’s chief of IT operations and oversee all “network design, network security, network systems consultation, network systems implementations, wireless network management, network systems monitoring, AV support and CSA-B management.”

Specific job duties include:
  • Ensuring all network equipment, appliances and telephony systems are kept up to date in terms of network infrastructure, software and virus protection 
  • Ensuring equipment maintenance agreements are current and accurately reflect inventory coverage 
  • Conducting dashboard-style reporting on the availability, utilization and capacity of the department’s network, servers and customer support center 
  • Ensuring backup and recovery procedures are in place in the event of any network infrastructure failures or disasters 
  • Supporting and maintaining wireless infrastructure for FloridaCommerce’s mobile technologies

Candidates who live in the Tallahassee area and have integrated voice response, enterprise deployment and network system architecture and design experience are preferred.
