The Florida Department of Education is seeking a systems programming consultant to provide software and systems programming support in the Bureau of Educator Certification's management system, Versa.

According to the job posting, the systems programming consultant will coordinate with external firms, the Northwest Regional Data Center and the Division of Technology and Innovation to develop and implement database and system modifications. This includes managing information and scheduling systems essential for directing workflow distribution.

Desirable qualifications include:
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in coding, computer science, industrial engineering, software development or information technology
  • Software or hardware certifications including but not limited to Microsoft certified, C/C++, Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Certified Systems Engineering Professional or Java
  • Tableau software experience
