The Florida Department of Financial Services is seeking to hire a computer and information systems manager to join its Tallahassee-based team.

The chosen candidate will lead a team managing midrange systems, encompassing Microsoft Windows servers, hardware, virtualization platforms, directory services, load balancers, monitoring tools, FTP services, security solutions and cloud services.

The role, within the department's Office of Information Technology, serves as the main point for technical issues, ensuring their timely resolution. It also includes regular reporting to senior management on team performance, infrastructure status and identifying potential risks or opportunities.

Minimum requirements for the role include:
  • Four years of experience in computer science, software engineering, IT or a related field
  • Five years or more of experience in a technical leadership role
  • Five years of experience and comprehension of Microsoft 365 software as a service
  • Three years of experience in vulnerability scanning, event and traffic monitoring, incident response, remediation and endpoint security management for Windows Server environments
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure services
