The Florida Department of Revenue has issued a request for proposals (RFP) for experienced SAP Software Integrator (SI) vendors to help transition their CAMS system from SAP ECC, CRM and BW to SAP S/4HANA and BW/4HANA for their Child Support Program.

The RFP calls for vendors with experience including migrating functionality, code and data while ensuring custom code and third-party applications remain compatible.

The system started as a SAP CRM and BW ERP in 2006, and ECC was added in 2012. Since then, the program has continually upgraded and enhanced CAMS, and the databases have been converted to SAP HANA.

The selected vendor must understand the current system, identify gaps, upgrade ECC and CRM (including functionality, objects, code and data) to S/4HANA, ensure custom code is compatible, upgrade BW to BW/4HANA and verify that third-party applications continue to work after the upgrade.

The CAMS automated system supports internal and external customers and suppliers of the Child Support Program through SAP software.

It supports the following business activities:
  • Processing requests for child support services from various sources, including online and paper applications, as well as from other states or countries
  • Identifying and verifying location data for case partners using available resources
  • Determining a child's legal father and setting or updating child support obligations, including scheduling tests and documenting actions
  • Managing cases according to federal and state rules and regulations
  • Creating and assigning tasks to team members when the system cannot determine the next action

RFP No. 10245 was initially posted Sept. 10. Proposals are due no later than 3 p.m. Oct. 28. The point of contact for this RFP is John Kinneer.
