The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is inviting bids to establish a two-year contract for the purchase of Vantage Next vehicle detection equipment for two intersections within the city of Daytona Beach.

According to the ITN, the attachment hardware must mount the detection device(s) on existing mast arms at the vendor-specified height, meeting current wind load requirements.

The system will stream live video through ethernet from all cameras and allow remote changes to detection zones and settings. No additional cost will be required for software supporting these features.

Other requirements include:
  • Providing technical support software updates
  • Respond to IT support inquiries from DOT within 24 business hours
  • Maintain an inventory of parts for maintenance, with delivery within 30 days of an order
FDOT encourages products with recycled content.

Bids for ITB 10949 are due by 10 a.m. Dec. 9. The contact is Jennifer Allcock.
