DFS Recruiting Computer Systems Analyst to Work on Florida PALM

The role will assist in executing the Department of Financial Services Florida PALM project, a multiyear, multiphase initiative to replace the state’s legacy accounting and cash management system.

The Florida Department of Financial Services (DFS) is looking to hire a computer systems analyst to assist the agency with its Florida PALM project.

PALM is a multiyear project that seeks to replace the state’s current accounting and cash management system, FLAIR, with a cloud-hosted, modern financial management solution.

“This position deals with complex policies and procedures associated with the implementation of the state’s financial management solution,” the posting states. This requires technical knowledge of FLAIR, other FFMIS subsystems and a general understanding of financial management practices and procedures.

Specific job duties include:
  • Ensuring technical requirements for assigned system modules satisfy needed functionalities 
  • Conducting in-depth analysis and documentation for system configuration 
  • Leading functional reviews for design, testing and other related activities for assigned system modules 
  • Assisting with user acceptance testing sessions with state agencies and enterprise partners 
  • Identifying risks, issues and design requirements for assigned system modules
