DMS Issues RFP for Statewide Contract for Security Solutions

The Department of Management Services' new request for proposals aims to establish a state term contract for digital security solutions.

The Department of Management Services, Florida's business division focused on workforce and related functions, has issued a request for proposals (RFP) to acquire statewide digital security solutions and cybersecurity services for customers.

According to RFP No. 24-43230000, the department may award multiple contracts per service category but reserves the right to award to one or more vendors.

Below are several service categories listed along with brief descriptions:
  • Endpoint-based asset discovery: Services for maintaining up-to-date hardware inventory, improving security management and aiding in incident response efforts
  • Network-based asset discovery: Products or services to identify devices within a specified network, allowing administrators to achieve comprehensive visibility into all connected assets
  • Endpoint detection and response: Products and services for safeguarding individual devices from cyber threats, including real-time prevention and response to malicious activities
  • External-facing asset discovery: Products or services to help identify, analyze and manage the external attack surfaces of customer systems, applications and networks
  • Email security: Products or services responsible for analyzing incoming email messages and detecting potential threats in real time
