As a member of OTIS’ technical team, the role focuses on modernizing DEP’s existing PHP portfolio and managing application servers.
Other specific job responsibilities include:
- Maintaining and supporting agency key enterprise PHP applications and providing oversight to the larger team
- Performing technology and architecture upgrades to ensure the stability of applications in DEP’s portfolio
- Maintaining and enhancing PHP applications using CodeIgniter and Laravel
- Maintaining and updating continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines
- Maintaining Oracle database objects associated with supported systems
Also noted in the job description are the following required skills, knowledge and abilities:
- A college diploma or university degree in computer science, information systems, information technology or another related field
- More than eight years of experience using PHP application frameworks
- More than five years of experience working with modern UI frameworks
- More than five years of experience using relational databases
- Performing research and delivering proposals and prototypes for new frameworks
