Escambia County Releases FY2025 Proposed Budget

Within the county’s total budget of $748.6 million, $6.3 million is allocated for IT services.

Escambia County has detailed its planned Fiscal Year 2024-2025 budget covering operational costs, capital projects and other notable IT-related budget requests.

The county’s proposed budget totals $748.6 million. The Information Technology Department’s proposed budget is $6.3 million, including a $155,000 capital outlay program.

The office’s IT budget is split between three parts: $4.1 million for operating costs, $2 million for personnel services and $155,000 for capital projects.

Other notable projects that include technology are:
  • $1 million for the county’s state attorney’s office IT operating expenses
  • $761,838 for the Escambia technology judicial services
  • $611,374 for library information services
  • $237,383 for the public defender’s office
The IT Department is the central IT department for the county and is organized into three divisions: administrative/applications, service delivery and the infrastructure division, which includes a server, network and security team. The county CIO is Russell Clarke.
