The city of
Eustis is searching for a new IT director to oversee all departmental tech goals, priorities, policies, procedures and work plans.
According to the job posting, the city is searching for “a trustworthy, responsible individual” to perform technical and supervisory work managing Eustis’ computer services operation.
Essential job functions include:
- Acting in the capacity of the city’s chief information officer
- Developing, implementing and revising city IT policies and procedures
- Preparing, managing and coordinating departmental budgets
- Evaluating current technology trends to implement new technology and security
- Managing the deployment, maintenance, support and upgrade of servers, laptops, desktop PCs, hardware, computer peripheral software, operating systems and printers
Minimum qualifications for the role include having a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in information science or another related field and approximately four to five years of experience in installing, configuring and supporting computer networks, preferably in a governmental setting, plus at least one year in a supervisory or management capacity.
