FAU Seeking Enterprise AI Chatbot Solution

Florida Atlantic University is seeking proposals for a real-time AI chatbot with enterprise-level licensing, cloud or SaaS options, 24/7 AI support, and multichannel routing.

An AI concept with the silhouette of a person that portrays different networks and charts.
Florida Atlantic University (FAU) has issued an invitation to negotiate (ITN) seeking a vendor to supply a real-time AI chatbot for the university to handle inquiries from students, staff and external users integrating with both cloud and on-premises systems.

According to the ITN, the initial term will be three years, with the option to renew for three additional, one-year periods.

Additional requirements include:
  • The solution must offer enterprise-level licensing with the option for department or smaller-level subscriptions
  • The chatbot must be available as software-as-a-service (SaaS) or a cloud-hosted solution
  • The platform should be proven and ideally used at other higher education institutions
  • The chatbot should provide 24/7 AI interaction capabilities
  • It must serve as an initial gatekeeper with multichannel presence, routing customers based on a decision tree and allow customization of live chat hours according to department availability

More information about 2025-ITN-0151-SC can be found online. All vendor proposals are due at 5 p.m. on Sept. 27.
