Florida Digital Service (FLDS) is looking to hire a deputy state chief information officer and a senior cybersecurity business analyst.

The deputy CISO will lead and facilitate all cross-team collaboration and activities related to cybersecurity monitoring, operations, cyber intelligence and incident response.

The incumbent will report to state CISO Jeremy Rodgers and will be responsible for:

  • Leading security operations and incident response teams and functions 
  • Standing up and running the state’s cybersecurity operations center  
  • Managing all administrations, configuration and day-to-day operations of enterprise security solutions 
  • Overseeing continuous monitoring activities of the enterprise environment, ensuring incidents are addressed, stakeholders are informed and remediation measures are taken 
  • Serving as the owner and executer for cyber incident response plans and documentation, including periodic updates

FLDS is also seeking a senior cybersecurity business analyst to join a team led by the deputy state CISO to help lead, develop and implement critical initiatives to support the state’s cybersecurity programs and capabilities.

Specific job responsibilities include:

  • Researching, analyzing, drafting and implementing cybersecurity policies, templates, examples and work products that support the operations, planning and public policy for the enterprise 
  • Identifying and presenting process improvements to the deputy CISO regarding statutory and regulatory reforms 
  • Assisting members of the cybersecurity team with nonroutine and unforeseen nontechnical needs that arise from incidents, initiatives and requests for information 
  • Supporting operational activities and strategic initiatives by collecting and compiling information, tracking key data points, and coordinating with multiple organizations and groups 
  • Spearheading initiatives, campaigns and projects related to cybersecurity
