Florida Department of Financial Services Hiring NetApp Administrator

The Florida Department of Financial Services (FLDFS) is recruiting a NetApp administrator to supervise the storage, open systems and job scheduling teams in its Office of Information Technology in Tallahassee.

“Responsibilities include setting annual performance expectations and evaluations, selecting qualified individuals to fill vacancies, reviewing and approving timesheets, taking corrective or disciplinary action, and providing regular feedback,” the posting says.

A successful candidate will come to the position with four years of experience in computer science or IT, including cybersecurity or programming. Desirable qualifications include (as written in the job posting):
  • Experience managing NetApp storage systems and a solid understanding of SAN and NAS technologies, architectures, storage virtualization and data replication technologies
  • Previous experience in project management and team leadership
  • Familiarity with backup and recovery solutions such as Commvault or similar data protection and management software
  • Basic knowledge of operating systems including Windows, Unix, Linux and/or Solaris
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot storage and IT infrastructure issues
Candidates with NetApp certifications, including certified data administrator, certified storage installation engineer and/or certified support engineer, are encouraged to apply.
