Florida Gaming Control Commission Recruiting for Applications Administrator

The chosen candidate will report to the commission’s enterprise and strategic applications manager.

The Florida Gaming Control Commission (FGCC) is seeking an applications administrator to assist its five-member commission, appointed by Gov. Ron DeSantis, in supporting and developing applications in its Tallahassee office.

The job posting states that the candidate will maintain existing applications and oversee the development, deployment and support of applications utilized by FGCC. The role will contribute to replacing legacy applications and introducing new solutions.

Specific responsibilities for the position include:
  • Collaborating with FGCC leadership to support and execute the implementation of necessary applications
  • Participating in change control, organizational change management and communications regarding application changes
  • Overseeing in-house development, including full life cycle application development and deployment efforts
  • Managing the setup, configuration and ongoing administration of SaaS applications to meet business requirements
  • Implementing tactics to improve application responsiveness and scalability

The minimum requirements for the position include four years of experience in application administration and cloud-based applications and services. Relevant education can substitute for two years of direct experience.

The hiring salary for the role is $63,000-$70,000, and the recruitment deadline is May 6.
