Florida Legislature Recruiting for Senior IT Audit Analyst

The chosen candidate will function as a project team leader under the supervision of an audit coordinator.

The Florida Legislature is seeking a senior IT audit analyst for its Tallahassee office.

The job posting states that the role involves handling tasks related to creating, managing, and analyzing IT systems for the auditor general. It also includes overseeing the design and analysis processes, as well as developing and implementing computer audit software for audits or projects.

Specific responsibilities for the position include:
  • Developing, preparing and applying audit software for use in CAATs procedures
  • Coordinating the development and execution of computer audit software for CAATs procedures
  • Collaborating with auditee technical staff to coordinate data collection
  • Analyzing data to ensure adequate knowledge for performing requested functions
  • Reconciling data (parallel simulation) to ensure population completeness and data integrity

Minimum qualifications for the role include a bachelor’s degree with major course work experience in accounting, computer science, management information systems or statistics and two years of professional experience.

The hiring salary for the role is commensurate with experience and the deadline to apply is June 30.
