The state Legislature is looking to hire a senior network and computer systems administrator to join the Florida Auditor General’s Office.

The position requires a candidate with hardware and software support, installation and troubleshooting experience.

The candidate would take on several responsibilities, including technical design, installation, administration and support of Microsoft Windows Server platforms and associated networks.

A few examples of work performed on the job include:
  • Coding and debugging new or existing systems 
  • Analyzing and correcting problems in existing systems and developing processes to correct these issues in the future 
  • Installing new systems or enhancements to existing systems 
  • Developing procedures for troubleshooting malfunctions in existing systems 
  • Interacting with vendors to obtain information needed in problem-solving and other related areas 
Preferred knowledge, skills and abilities include:
  • Knowledge of information systems terminology and concepts 
  • Knowledge of specialized tools used in the development of applications 
  • Knowledge of information systems operations, equipment, procedures and workflow 
  • Ability to apply specialized information systems knowledge relating to hardware, systems software, application development, training, user assistance, publications or operations 
  • Ability to code, test and debug computer programs 
The hiring salary for the role is commensurate with experience, and the recruitment deadline is June 30.
