Florida State University Issues Network Modernization ITB

FSU has issued a solicitation for a five-year contract for campus-wide network modernization with two optional two-year renewals.

Florida State University(FSU) has issued a solicitation to upgrade or replace its campus-wide switching network in order to meet modern network requirements.

The solicitation “consists of six lots [or sections] that all respondents may provide proposals for. Respondents may respond to any number of lots provided each lot is responded to in full to be considered by the FSU committee.”

Those lots include:
  • Edge switching and management platform
  • UPS/battery backup management platform
  • Data center routing
  • Data center firewalls
  • DDI Solution/IPAM
  • Authentication Identity Management
The invitation to bid also says the “contract term is anticipated to be from Feb. 1, 2025 – Jan. 31, 2030, with two optional two-year renewals.”

Interested vendors can apply through FSU’s public bid portal.

Questions are due at 5 p.m. Nov. 5. The proposals are due at 3 p.m. Nov. 19. and the point of contact for the solicitation is Lauren Beck.
