FloridaCommerce has announced that Florida communities can access over $1.5 million for community planning and strategic economic development, with a specific focus on technical assistance.

$1.52 million is allocated through the Community Planning Technical Assistance (CPTA) grant program, while $65,860 is designated for the Competitive Florida Partnership Grant Program.

Funding is accessible to municipalities, counties and regional planning councils to develop an economic development strategy through innovative planning and public engagement. Projects should connect with community planning and economic development strategies under the Community Planning Act.

FloridaCommerce suggests communities consider proposals for disaster recovery planning, workforce development strategies and workforce housing opportunities. Applicants are advised to seek funding for innovative or unique approaches to community planning, development and infrastructure.
