Fort Lauderdale Police Issue RFP for Details Management System

The selected contractor will manage and administer the off-duty police details program, including handling service requests, scheduling and payroll.

The Fort Lauderdale Police Department (FLPD) has issued a request for information (RFP) seeking service providers to oversee all aspects of off-duty police details including handling service requests, scheduling, payroll, invoicing, accounts payable and payment collection.

According to the RFP, the proposed system must meet the following requirements at a minimum:
  • Enable email and text notifications to officers hired for off-duty jobs
  • Integrate seamlessly with the FLPD payroll system to track officers' on-duty schedules
  • Offer access to an application programming interface for custom reporting and integration with other applications
  • Provide a single billing portal for receiving payments from companies, vendors or individuals requesting extra-duty police services
  • Facilitate digital payments (ACH and credit card) between clients and officers within the application
