Gainesville and Tampa Recruiting for IT Analyst Roles

The cities are hiring an enterprise resource planning reporting analyst and an applications systems analyst, respectively.

The city of Gainesville is seeking an enterprise resource planning reporting analyst.

According to the job posting, “An ERP reporting analyst’s role is unique in that the candidate must be technically knowledgeable and have the leadership skills to lead across functions, organizations and applications.”

The position oversees the following:
  • Translating stakeholder requirements into reporting deliverables 
  • Assisting the analyst team with dashboard and report generation 
  • Developing performance metrics 
  • Supporting, troubleshooting and maintaining systems and applications
  • Evaluating new technologies in relation to the organization’s business intelligence needs

Tampa is recruiting for an applications systems analyst to join its Technology and Innovation Department.

According to the job posting, this position is responsible for analyzing data and manual systems for data processing applications.

Specific job responsibilities for the role include:
  • Analyzing and evaluating operational procedures and production systems   
  • Identifying and correcting system problems, obtaining software patches, applying patches and resolving production system problems 
  • Ascertaining demands and impacts of computer systems on data centers and users 
  • Conducting post-installation reviews of systems and programs to determine if efficiency goals are accomplished 
  • Recommending system modifications to improve operating efficiency
