Scott Ward, the chief information officer for the
Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA), which oversees Florida's multibillion-dollar Medicaid program, discussed strategies for success in IT with
Industry Insider — Florida during last week's Digital Government Summit* in Tallahassee.
Scott Ward has been CIO for AHCA since 2010. Prior to his role as CIO, he was the agency's bureau chief of IT strategic planning and security. He also served as a senior management analyst supervisor for the Department of Financial Services.
Ward holds a bachelor’s degree in social sciences with an emphasis in economics from Florida State University. He also earned a master’s degree in public administration with a focus on management information systems and services from Troy University, along with a master’s certificate in IT project management from George Washington University College of Business.
