Insider Takes: State CISO Rodgers Discusses His Background and Passions in the Field

Jeremy Rodgers, the statewide CISO, spoke with Industry Insider — Florida about how he achieved his current status and the role he plays in the business of government.

Jeremy Rodgers, chief information security officer (CISO) for Florida Digital Service, offered advice on succeeding in the tech industry during an interview with Industry Insider — Florida during the Florida Digital Government Summit* in Tallahassee.

Rodgers has been the state's CISO since January 2022. Prior to his role as CISO, he served as deputy mayor of Boca Raton from 2015 to 2021. He also worked at IBM for more than 10 years. He has served the U.S. Navy for 13 years.

He has a Bachelor of Science in computer engineering, a Master of Science in computer engineering and a doctor of philosophy in computer engineering, all from Florida Atlantic University.
