Jacksonville Seeking AR Fire Extinguisher Training System

The solution must support an augmented reality training system for use on five different devices, including iPads and others as needed.

The city of Jacksonville's Fire and Rescue Department has issued an invitation to bid (ITB) from qualified vendors for the procurement of five augmented reality (AR) fire extinguisher training systems.

According to the ITB, the city is seeking specific products, including hardware and software, but it will consider bids for other manufacturers.

Other qualifications for the AR fire extinguisher training system include:
  • FiAR app, FiAR handle and FiAR spare shear pins
  • iPad Pro and charger
  • Laser-cut Pelican case
  • QuickStart magnets, user manuals and training video

More detailed information about Solicitation XF-0430-24 (ITB No. 15784-24), including all minimum requirements and requested services, can be found online. A non-mandatory virtual meeting is scheduled for 12 p.m. June 26. The deadline for proposals is 2 p.m. July 17. Olive Wallace-Cohen is the point of contact for this ITB.
