Leon County Clerk of Courts Hiring for Network and Database Administrator Roles

The specialized technology positions will optimize the clerk’s infrastructure, including software installation, system security maintenance and proactive issue resolution.

The Leon County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller is recruiting for two specialized roles in technology, a network administrator and a database and systems administrator.

According to the job posting, the network administrator will manage and secure the clerk’s network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN and new technologies.

Additional duties of the role include:
  • Install and upgrade network hardware and software and perform necessary repairs
  • Maintain network and computer system security, ensuring all systems operate correctly
  • Anticipate communication and networking issues and implement preventative measures
  • Investigate, recommend and install enhancements and procedures to optimize network availability
Desirable qualifications for the role include a bachelor's degree in information technology, telecommunications, computer science, management information systems, engineering or a related field, plus one year of relevant technical experience or equivalent training.

Preferred certifications according to the job posting include Net+, Security+, CCNA or Cisco with Fortinet experience also being a plus.

  • Managing access and security for user data, ensuring compliance with the latest updates and patches
  • Conducting backups to ensure data recoverability in case of disasters
  • Designing, implementing and monitoring database systems while utilizing PowerShell and SQL for task automation
A bachelor's degree in information technology, telecommunications, computer science, management information systems, engineering or a related field is required, along with two years of relevant technical experience or equivalent training.

Preferred qualifications include experience with Fortinet, Cisco, network security and enterprise firewalls.
