Leon County School Board Seeks Vendor for 27,000 Chromebooks

To qualify for the opportunity, vendors must have a minimum of five years of experience implementing services of comparable technology to clients similar to the school board.

The Leon County School Board (LCSB) has issued an RFP for vendors to submit proposals for the procurement, comprehensive setup and installation of 27,000 Chromebooks.

According to RFP 253-2024, minimum expectations include:
  • At least five years' continuous experience successfully implementing and providing distribution, support and maintenance services of comparable technology to clients of a similar size and scope
  • Experience successfully implementing and providing distribution, support and maintenance services of comparable technology to at least three accounts of a similar size and scope as the district, preferably in the public sector
  • The capacity and infrastructure to provide configuration, installation and technical support for Chromebooks across 47 school locations and other facilities

Important dates for interested vendors include:
  • Feb. 13: Deadline to submit written questions and requests for equivalents
  • Feb. 23: Sealed proposals due and open
  • March 4: Anticipated date the district will advertise its notice of board decision online
