Miami Beach is recruiting for an experienced Microsoft business intelligence developer to join the city’s data integration and analytics team.

According to the job posting, the candidate will use their experience working with the Microsoft stack and other technologies to support the city’s operational, analytical and data integration needs.

Additional job functions and responsibilities include:
  • Designing, modeling, developing and optimizing business intelligence solutions to meet data management and data reporting objectives 
  • Working with business units to create and deliver business intelligence and reporting services 
  • Working with data and application engineers to ensure that data sets feeding the city’s analytics platform are tuned for optimal performance
  • Building dynamic dashboards that use out-of-box features, customizations and visualizations 
  • Designing and publishing custom dashboards and web applications for business functions, stakeholders and corporate users  
The minimum requirements are:
  • Four-plus years of production SQL server and business intelligence development experience 
  • Three-plus years of production experience working with Microsoft SQL Server and APIs
  • General experience working with data integration methodologies and tools 
  • General experience designing relational and multidimensional databases 
  • Strong proficiency in SQL performance tuning
