Miami Beach is seeking applications from authorized Microsoft resellers to participate in a prequalification pool for future solicitations.

Interested vendors must submit a bidder prequalification application through BidSync to qualify.

Once an application is submitted, the city’s IT department will evaluate the information provided and place vendors on a prequalification list if they meet or exceed specific criteria.

After that, the city may contact sellers on the list to obtain price quotations for Microsoft hardware products, such as the Microsoft Surface, on an as-needed basis.

Each quote prepared by prequalified Microsoft sellers responding to an invitation to quote (ITQ) from the city must mirror the specific quantities and specifications listed in the bid document. The city will select the lowest priced, responsive and responsible prequalified Microsoft reseller for the job.

All other project-specific deliverables and expectations will be defined on a project-by-project basis in each ITQ.

Regarding specific contract lengths, the city’s manager may approve up to two one-year renewal terms as long as the vendor’s required certification is still valid.

More information about this pre-solicitation can be found online, and any questions or clarifications can be emailed to Jason Crouch, the bid’s procurement contact.
