Miami-Dade County’s Aviation Department (MDAD) anticipates soon soliciting proposals for replacement hardware, parts, repairs, maintenance and upgrades for its AtlasIED GLOBALCOM Announcement Control System.

According to a draft solicitation document from the department, the system allows for mass notification of airport passengers.

More specifically, the network-based system can manage the flow of announcements across multiple zones and speakers, support pre-recorded messages and text-to-speech functionality, and handle different-sized installations with various network endpoints, AtlasIED’s website states.

As for potential vendor goods and services, the department has identified the following in its draft solicitation document:

REPLACEMENT PARTS

  • IEDA524-H, 4 Button Mic Station
  • IED 550CS-H, Touchscreen Desktop Mic Station
  • T112C, Amplifier Mainframe
  • T602-120V-T1, Amplifier
  • IED 1516LI, Logic Module
The department is also considering maintenance and repair services as part of the contract.

More detailed information about the future solicitation can be found online.
