Earlier this week, the Miami-Dade County Clerk of the Court and Comptroller launched a new portal for the County Recorder, allowing residents to access official documents online.

Juan Fernandez-Barquin, clerk of the circuit court and comptroller for Miami-Dade County, announced the launch of the new portal via LinkedIn, writing: “This marks a major step toward increasing transparency, accessibility and convenience for our community.”

A user guide from the county states that the portal “offers an improved and more user-friendly interface for searching public records such as deeds, mortgages, liens and other official documents recorded in Miami-Dade County.”

Users can filter and sort by name, document type, recording, plat book, page, date and address when looking for specific documents. After that, they can view results in a table or card format, specifically focusing on clerk file numbers, documents, images, recording dates, and book or page info.

Once all results are in, users can pay for and order certified copies of specific documents online and receive them via email.

More information about the portal can be found online.
