Miami-Dade County Public Schools Issues ITB for Microsoft Licensing

The school district seeks to purchase Microsoft licenses as part of a three-year contract with two successive one-year renewal options.

Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) has issued an invitation to bid (ITB) to purchase Microsoft licenses.

According to the ITB, M-DCPS is seeking licenses for operating systems, productivity software, server software and cloud services to support its current and planned IT infrastructure.

To qualify for the opportunity, prospective vendors must possess the following:
  • A letter from Microsoft identifying themselves as an authorized licensing solutions provider for Microsoft Enterprise and its volume licensing program 
  • Proven experience in providing Microsoft licenses to organizations of similar size and complexity 
  • The ability to provide timely and effective support 
  • The ability to comply with all applicable Microsoft licensing agreements 
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality regarding M-DCPS’ licensing information 
If additional licenses are needed, M-DCPS requests the following from vendors:
  • Microsoft license quotes within one business day of request 
  • Microsoft licenses within two business days of purchase receipt from the district 
The contract will be for three years with two one-year renewal options.
