Miami-Dade County has issued a pre-request for proposals (Pre-RFP) for qualified vendors to provide full-service maintenance for the Johnson Controls Metasys Building Management System at the Miami-Dade Children’s Courthouse.

The Pre-RFP specifies that the chosen vendor must supply all necessary materials and parts for completing the services. Additionally, blueprints and operation manuals for the equipment are available upon request.

Other specific requirements for vendors listed in the Pre-RFP include:
  • Provide recommendations for improved system performance and cost savings after each visit
  • Furnish and install software updates/revisions to maintain or improve system performance
  • Repair or replace failed or worn components with new or reconditioned ones
  • Conduct system integrity tests, including point checks, commanding techniques, selective disabling, systemwide function tests and examination of standard report logs
  • Conduct an annual facility tour with the fire alarm system vendor for certification

More detailed information about the Pre-RFP, including all submission requirements and requests, can be found online. The deadline for proposals is May 14.
