Miami-Dade County has issued a request to qualify (RTQ) for vendors to participate in spot market competitions to purchase Veritas-Cohesity or Arctera product lines and related services.
The RTQ will establish a prequalified pool of suppliers and vendors to participate in these spot competitions.
However, the solicitation states, “placement in the pool is not a contract between the county and the supplier/vendor, but an acknowledgment that the supplier/vendor meets the requirements outlined throughout the RTQ.”
Prospective supplier and vendor submissions will be accepted throughout the term of the RTQ for placement in the pool. Vendors and suppliers may be asked to provide new hardware, software licenses, software maintenance support services and other related professional services.
That includes providing “ongoing software maintenance and support subscriptions for existing hardware, software licenses and subscriptions for various Veritas-Cohesity and Arctera products that the county currently owns, including but not limited to: Backup Exec product family, Managed Security Services subscription suite, Storage Foundation product family, Net Backup product family, Enterprise Vault Cloud family, Discovery Accelerator, Endpoint Protection product family and System Recovery product family.”
More information about EVN0022787 can be found online. Vendor submissions are due at 2 p.m. on May 28. The contact for this solicitation is Christian Chavez.
