Miami Gardens Recruiting for Senior Systems Administrator

The city of Miami Gardens is looking to hire a senior systems administrator.

According to the job posting, the incumbent will “plan, configure, implement and manage software and hardware programs under limited supervision” and “perform advanced computer program analysis, monitor program implementation and determine optimum capacity of hardware and software programs.”

Additional job responsibilities include:
  • Planning and coordinating data migrations between systems 
  • Identifying, evaluating, tailoring and implementing vendor-supplied software packages 
  • Installing and configuring relevant network components to ensure application access 
  • Analyzing specifications of application enhancements for compatibility with other systems 
  • Performing complex system analysis and programming in appropriate languages for batch and online systems 
Minimum requirements for the role include a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or another closely related field, plus five years of experience in industry-standard programming languages, relational database design, Microsoft products, PC setups, system analysis and application programming.
