Miami State Attorney’s Office Recruiting for IT Specialist

To qualify for the position, the ideal candidate must have extensive experience in programming, analyzing and improving workflow processes, and maintaining statistical reporting dashboards and databases.

The Justice Administrative Commission, which provides administrative services for various judicial-related offices throughout the state, is recruiting for an IT Specialist III to join the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office.

According to the job posting, the posting is for a computer programmer position with specialties in research, programming, analysis and workflow process improvement, statistical reporting dashboards, and database maintenance.

Specific job responsibilities include:
  • Developing and designing business management applications 
  • Developing, designing and maintaining websites 
  • Developing and maintaining the office’s SQL Server 
  • Creating statistical reports and business intelligence dashboards

As for preferred skills and qualifications, the job posting lists:
  • An Associate of Science degree in computer technology 
  • Proficiency with the C#, VB.NET and XML programming languages 
  • Proficiency with managing and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server (2012 or higher) 
  • Experience researching, analyzing and identifying cost-effective automated solutions and software to improve organizational efficiencies 
  • Familiarity with any version of Microsoft Access or Visual Basic for Applications

Lastly, minimum requirements for the role include two years of experience in computer operations, systems analysis or programming, as well as working knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio and developing business applications that use SQL databases.
