Orlando’s Office of Business and Financial Services is seeking candidates for three IT-related roles.

First, the office is recruiting a digital software engineer to join its systems integration team, which oversees all enterprise integrations and provides dedicated support to city staff as a consultant, adviser, educator and execution partner to help deliver integration services.

Primary job responsibilities, according to the job posting and duty statement, include:
  • Integrating applications to allow residents to interact with the city in a simple and easy-to-use manner 
  • Performing analysis, decomposition, design, development, internal testing and documentation of application integrations 
  • Identifying and answering questions that help the systems integration team build and manage tools 
  • Working collaboratively with other teams within the IT department and other city divisions 

The annual salary range for the position is $75,587 to $100,152, and the application deadline is ongoing.

Next is a recruitment for an enterprise application administrator. The chosen candidate would “perform professional and technical work in the delivery of support to end users in the organization about how to use various types of software programs efficiently and effectively in fulfilling business objectives.”

Other focus areas include providing public safety software support for the city’s police and fire departments and overseeing dispatching, field reporting, records and applications, integrations, interfaces such as crash reports, web-based incident reporting, caller interrogation and electronic health records.

Key responsibilities of the role, according to the job posting and duty statement, include:
  • Maintaining and enhancing the performance of all new and existing public safety software and applications across the organization 
  • Handling problem tickets from end users to troubleshoot and resolve complex application and software issues within servers, databases and other mission-critical systems 
  • Creating and deploying feedback mechanisms for end users, analyzing results, making recommendations for support process improvement and implementing changes 
  • Communicating application problems and issues to key stakeholders, including management, development teams, end users and vendors 

The annual salary range for the position is $58,365 to $77,334, and the application deadline is ongoing.

The office’s other recruitment is for a GIS applications developer I/II/III. The developer “performs professional, technical and analytical work in programming and computer systems analysis,” according to the office’s job posting and duty statement.

To qualify for the job, the chosen candidate must have experience managing software and overseeing systems development, training and hardware for client departments.

Key responsibilities of the role include:
  • Updating and maintaining the master street address database for the city of Orlando 
  • Preparing address information, updating and maintaining address databases, responding to discrepancies and inquiries, and assisting staff with related tasks 
  • Developing and maintaining base maps and performing associated mapping functions using geographic information system (GIS) software and databases  
  • Performing GIS computerized mapping functions and providing technical services and support 

Minimum requirements for each job level, I/II/III, vary, with compensation ranging from $57,117 to $72,821 annually. The application deadline is ongoing.
