Orlando Utilities Commission Requesting Proposals for Wiring Services

OUC is seeking bids from vendors with at least five years of experience in on-demand wiring services, including office relocations, for an initial three-year contract with a two-year renewal option.

The Orlando Utilities Commission (OUC) invites proposals from qualified vendors for on-demand wiring services, including office relocations, employee setups, transfers and data center wiring for an initial three-year term with a two-year renewal option.

Vendors will be expected to, “provide wiring service as directed for telephone, network, security and other cabling needs,” according to the RFP.

In addition, vendors are expected to provide all labor, materials and tools to install Cat 5e or Cat 6 cabling. This includes securing cables to walls, floors or cubicles, terminating cables with jacks or outlets and testing connections.

The ability to “understand drawings and schematics is a must,” according to the solicitation.

Interested vendors can apply to RFP No. PR8052 online. Questions are due at 5 p.m. Nov. 26. The proposals are due at 2 p.m. Dec. 17, and the point of contact for the solicitation is Jose Rodriguez.
