Founded in 1821, Escambia County is located in the panhandle, has a population of more than 300,000 and is continuing to grow.

According to its website, “the mission of Escambia County government is to provide efficient, responsive services that enhance our quality of life, meet common needs and promote a safe and healthy community.”

The county’s seat and only city is Pensacola.
