Royal Palm Beach Issues RFP for Project Management Software

The village’s engineering department is soliciting proposals from vendors for a construction management software solution to manage capital improvement projects.

Royal Palm Beach, a village located in Palm Beach County, has issued a request for proposals (RFP) for vendors to supply a construction management software solution to manage capital improvement projects.

According to the RFP, “The village manages an average of $10 to $15 million in capital expenditures per year.” As a result, the bid document’s main objective is to find a cost-effective, easy-to-use and time-saving software management solution.

In terms of software specifics, the solution must be a cloud-based system accessible from any device with an Internet connection and offer the following features:
  • RFI tracking and logging: The system should allow users to create, track and manage RFIs and attach files, such as drawings, specifications and photos 
  • Drawing revision tracking: The system should allow users to track revisions to project drawings, compare different versions of drawings and highlight changes 
  • Drawing file management: The system should provide a central repository for storing and managing project drawings, and allow users to access and download drawings from anywhere 
  • Submittal tracking: The system should let users track the status of project submittals and attach files to them, such as shop drawings, product data sheets and test reports 
  • Meeting logging and scheduling: The system should allow users to log and schedule project meetings and create agendas and meeting minutes
